To me, the movie is 40 minutes too long. It was interesting to see how first moon mission and Chernobyl were written into the movie.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley played Carly Miller, replacing Megan Fox. The background story for her was that she was from a military family and worked as an intern at the White House where she met Sam. With that being said, I pictured her to be a stronger personality/character but she was just an eye candy in the movie. The dialogue she was given as prep talk to Optimus Prime was so weak. Who would be in their right mind wearing those heels running around in the Chicago ruins? Bring Megan Fox back!
Sam’s character evolved from a shy, nerdy teenager into an arrogant, assumed he deserves better since he was the hero saving human race from robotic alien invasion. Patrick Dempsey ruined the McDreamy, good boy image.
There were more comedy parts in the movie, more than what I was expected. The parents were dressed in matching outfits with the same funny quirks and comments. Sam was driving a beat-up similar looking car while BumbleBee was out on secret missions.
There are a lot more cool cars in the movie including Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, Ferrari 458 Italia, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG (my next car, just kidding), just to list a few.
My Grade: B
