The Voice 105
Blake Shelton picked “Can’t Hurry Love” by The Supremes to be performed by Dia Frampton and SeraBee. SeraBee and Dia have different styles in singing and it was a weird combination to have them performed together on the stage. SeraBee has a very strong voice and Blake commented that SeraBee was hitting all the notes all the time, literally took the words out of my mouth. Dia however stick to the normal performance and landed it. However, she doesn’t look comfortable, very timidly up there on stage.
Creep by Radio Song performed by Devon Barley and Rebecca Loebe from Adam’s team. Devon seem reluctant to sing the song during rehearsal since he is unfamiliar with it. Adam basically took charge on singing Devon’s part to get him up to speed. During the live performance, both of them actually worked together beautifully. They did not try to outshine each other which is refreshing since this is a competition and that makes the performance the best of the night. Adam swear on national television because it was a tough decision to let either go. It was truly sad to see Rebecca leave.
Kelsey Rey with Tori Thompson and Taylor Thompson (The Thompson Sisters) was chosen by Cee Lo to perform “Unwritten” by Natasha Bedingfield. Tori and Taylor worked so well together when one of them wasn’t able to hit the high key. Cee Lo is the best coach by giving productive advice and even work on the dance routine together. Kelsey and the Thompson sisters sure looked like they were having tons of fun on the stage. Cee Lo picked the Thompson sisters out of this round as the winner for whatever reason unknown to me. I like Kelsey’s performance and I believe she has more potential on winning the contest than the Thompson sisters. It seemed like Monica liked Kelsey’s performance as well based on her comment.
